The name of the College and its motto are shown on the flying
ribbons, which symbolize zeal for heights.

At the center of the emblem is the lamp of knowledge that
Christ College is. It is placed in the midst of "Panch-tattva",
namely earth, water, fire, air and sky.

The constellation of seven stars, called "saptarshi",
stands for the enlightened and liberated Christites who would
lead the nation to true freedom like the former directs the
sailors to the pole star.

There are seven lines each to the four directions.
The number seven being a symbol of perfection indicates our
tireless efforts for harmony with God, Humanity and Nature.
