Attendance and Academic Progress
- Regular attendance is a must in Christ College. Candidates seeking admission to various courses at Christ College must give in writing before the Principal that they will be regular in attending all the lectures and practical. Any breach of this promise will invite stern action.
- All the students shall report to the classes on time i.e. 08.15a.m and there will be four lectures before recess and three after it.
- Habitual late coming is considered a misconduct. Those students who continue to be late even after sufficient warning will be fined as per the discretion of the principal.
- Attendance will be recorded at the beginning of each lecture.
- Absence even for one lecture or reporting late for the lectures will be marked as absence for the whole day.
- Students who are absent for the first week of a term shall be considered to have left the college, unless they have the written permission from the Principal to do so.
- Students may take leave only for genuine reasons after submitting the leave application in writing to the Principal.
- In case of illness, the Principal must be informed in writing not later than ten days from the first day of absence. Medical certificates must be produced in such cases.
- Students who are irregular will have to explain the reasons for their irregularity to the Principal and if it is not found satisfactory, they will have to leave the college in the following term.
- Permitted to appear in the university examinations shall not be granted unless:
- a student has at least 80% attendance by the end of the academic year,
- a student secures the minimum pass marks in the examinations conducted by the college and
- the Principal is satisfied with the character and conduct of the student.
