A TALK ON GANDHI:
With a view to opening an international Gandhian Centre, Christ College ,Rajkot, hosted A TALK ON GANDHI on October 02,2007 in which Mar. Gregory Karotemprel, Bishop of Rajkot, Dr A .K. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Babhasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, various Faculties from Saurashtra University, eminent Gandhians from Rajkot along with the entire Christ Family were actively involved.
The programme began at 9.30 with a secular prayer service which incorporated substances from various religious as Gandhiji himself modeled his life and ideology on the best part of different religions. Gracing the occasion with the presidential address, His Excellency Mar Gregory Karotemparel underscored the importance of Gandhian way of life for the present generation.
Dr A .K.Singh the key note speaker discoursed on various aspects of the life of Gandhi. He pointed out that “Gandhi was not a product of colonial Europe, but of the greatest thinkers of the Continent: the product of Ruskin, Tolstoy and others, he discovered the real India – the untouchable, the marginalized…” The function concluded with the National Anthem.

A unique Event Management Contest judging the organizational skills of the students was organized for selecting the Student Event Manager of the college. The selected event management team organized an inter- collegiate Ras Garba Competition,

Youth Festival
Christ College participated in the youth festival organized by Saurashtra University. Our students stood First in Group Discussion at Zonal and Inter Zonal Level, First in Clay Modeling, Second in Instrumental Music, Second in Western Group Song. Christ College students stood First and Fifth in regional level Times Public Speaking Contest and also represented our college in the finals.
Christites stood first in the 1 st level Quiz Competition organized by Rajkot Doordarshan and also stood first in the Zee Anchor Search.
Helios'06
A unique venture by Christ College to launch a music album of songs, completely composed and rendered by our students.
Alumni Sports Day
A sports day was organized by the Alumni Association for the ex-students of the college which was a meaningful time of togetherness.
